Low Carb Country Style Pork Ribs

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 tsp allspice (ground)
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon (ground)
  • 2 lbs country-style pork ribs (to yield 16 oz. meat before cooking)
  • 1/4 cup onion (diced)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp sugar-free maple-flavoured syrup (try Walden Farms 0 Calorie Maple Walnut Syrup)
  • 1 dash black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp ginger (ground)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (low-sodium)

Instructions
 

  • Combine all ingredients except the ribs in a medium bowl. Pour mixture over the ribs.
  • If baking in the oven, place the ribs in a baking dish, cover with foil and bake for 60-90 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 180 degrees.
  • If preparing in the crockpot, cover and cook on low for 7-9 hours.
  • Serve and enjoy!
